Waxed!

One thing I hate about my body - hairs. Hair hair hair. Why can't they stop growing? I hope body hair are just made for men. They don't give a shit if they grow a beard or underarm hair. Us women, find it unpleasant to have such in our body. Even the tiny hair can be annoying if you got to look at it everyday, saying "hi" to you.

Today I bought a new brand of wax which is "Nanny Rose's Queen Bee". The name already gives out what kind of wax is inside - honey bee's wax. Its 50g package comes with 3 cloth pulls and 2 wooden applicator (i.e. popsicle sticks). Packaging wise, I like it better than Epilin.

I also bought the After Wax Salve. I have no idea why it is called salve. Probably it is synonymous to cream. The ingredients are not harmful since it is made up of friendly oils such as mineral oil, almond oil, tea ree oil, chamomile, and malunggay oil. It also contains beeswax and shea butter. The packaging is cute! Lol.

Okay so I used it today.
I heated the wax using our rice cooker. Teeheehehehe. I was planning on boiling water and dropping it there but it entails more effort compare to plug and click! Lol.

I let it cool. It won't harden like Epilin since it is made out of honey so even if it is in room temperature, you can use it. I wonder if it won't need another heating next time since it won't be stored inside an air-conditioned room.

SO.
Trial number 1: Applied the wax downwards (so pull would be against hair growth) - placed the cloth - pulled. And then WTF? NO hair was removed. I mean, COME ON. LOL. I did it thrice and it hurt so bad like hell. I placed the Salve afterwards it kind of sting.

Trial number 2: I remembered I read something that goes "...pull on the opposite direction on which you apply the wax" Oh okay, I was like "I don't care about the against the hair growth rule I'm trying this one!" I applied it upwards. Pulled downwards OMG. LIKE HELL YEAH - tons of hair over there. Like that was heaven girl, that was HEAVEN. Salve was great :3

Lesson: Forget the hair growth, just pay attention to the strength of your hand and the direction it is more powerful :))) If you have someone to pull it for you  then yeah, remember the against hair growth rule but if you do it yourself, trust me.

VERDICT:
I like this wax. Much better than Epilin. You need to heat Epilin everytime. It solidifies fast so you got to wax fast. Its packaging doesn't come with a lit so it is exposed to dirt.

No problem with the Salve either.

The wax is made up of honey, unrefined honey sugar, and calamansi juice. No harmful ingredients and it is all natural! What can go wrong with natural stuffs right? So goodbye Epilin!

Moving on, aside from those wax I bought this one. Facial hair remover. It's a metal spring you can form into a U shape and roll onto the facial hair you want to remove. I tried it for my upper lip hair. It hurts. Well face it, everything hurts! LOL.

I've waxed my upper lip the other day, there were only some hair today so... I basically just tried to roll it. It feels like lip threading.

I hope this can replace my facial wax strips. Or I can try Nanny Rose on my upper lip... :)))))

I was checking out on the Shick's shaver for women. It has a cute design! Here:
However I did not buy because, I'm not prepared what my mother will say :)) And I'm not so serious about my legs YET. LOL. I'm not wearing  shorts or skirt when I go out. But I'll keep an eye on these and ONE DAY I'll own one hahaha

Beauty Buffet - CoQ10 and Yogurt Facial Mask

Heya! I bought my second Beauty Buffet facial mask because it was buy 1 take 1 that day! I actually bought 2 pairs. Three yellow and one gray. I'm giving the gray one to my brother 'cause he likes charcoal and oil control stuff.

So here's the claim of the yellow one:

Indulge in a sumptuous feast for your skin! Beauty Buffet Mask's unique recipe is made up of CoQ10 to help firm skin and reduce fine lines as well as yogurt to help dissolve dead skin and minimize pores, and glycine to help retain moisture. it rejuvenates skin so that it appears more elastic and smooth with a radiant glow. Natural botanical extracts - Algae, Aloe Vera and Cucumber also help to moisturize and nourish skin

The line "minimize pores" caught my attention. I just feel like my pores are big when I look at the mirror o_o, I've been itching to buy myself a toner but I can't pick which one would be good. So it was really a treat when I found this. After using it my pores really shrunk! Unlike when I just use ice on my face, it does thing better. I like the Aloe Vera and Cucumber extract included -- those are skin friendly essences. Not sure with CoQ10, but I guess it'll do good for my parents -- that's why I gave them this one too.

I like this mask because it is cheap (P39, P59 buy 1 take 1) and it has cute packaging. I wish they have the essences in little bottles where we can just spray it on our face and leave-on, so that it'll be used frequently rather than once. Haha! Could be moisturizer alternative too.

I haven't tried other mask brands, but I'm looking forward for it! For now, I want to try that gray one next time :D

'Till my next skin something!

Beauty Buffet: Facial Mask

Today I bought a facial mask :3

Perhaps the packaging and the price are two of the factors that caught my attention. I rarely buy products for my face - I bought a nose strip once, but it never happened again. I realized that I want to keep my face moisturized more than apply face powder on o_o sometimes face powder makes my skin feel dry as it already is. Anyway, this is the picture of what I bought:

I like the different colors of the packaging each 'type' has. They made use of pastel colors. Oh how my eyes enjoy pastel colors. Really, I'd think that what's inside, is probably soft or cuddly or cute if it's inside a pastel colored packaging. And look at the drawing :] Haha.

It says

"This mask is made up of L-Ascorbic Acid (Vit C) an antioxidant that help stimulate collagen regeneration and defend against free radicals and pigmentation, as well as soothing neroli to help boost skin rejuvination and Glycine to help retain mosture"

WOW
Can you believe thaaaat?

XD

So I opened the package and found a sheet, sort of like a wet wipe. It has 4 holes - for the eyes, nose and mouth respectively. I thought facial masks packages contain lotion like stuff - like you apply it on you face, it dries up and then you peel. Probably, different kinds? I haven't learned about it =))

After applying, I felt that my face has been moisturized! Like it had received a treatment it wanted since the weather got hot. Lol. Though probably after I wash it tomorrow the feeling will be gone. It's just nice, treating my skin like that once in a while -- or I'll probably get addicted to it since it's over the counter, and it's 39.oo pesos only. I'd probably be wondering how the other kinds feel like.

Oh the first thing I looked for was 'mint'. There was none, so I picked this randomly.
I think next time I pass by Watson, I'd be buying my second facial mask :))
