Pain Scale

This is what we got, after asking a patient to rate her pain, back in ER:

Jr. Intern: Can you rate the pain from 1-10?
Patient: The thing is, I got nervous... it just happened suddenly
Jr. Intern: I see. From 1-10, what is the pain scale?
Patient: Well... my pain tolerance is really low.. it's not that painful but.. it hurts


Thanks ma'am! Now we really know what your pain scale is.
